In fall 2008, the badminton tournament Federleicht celebrated its premiere as the predecessor of "Leichtes Spiel." The following summer the University Sports Center and its participants discovered their passion for table soccer at the RWTH SPORTS DAY powered by Sparkasse Aachen, where there were three table soccer tables from HSZ for the Open-Air-Kick in the stadium for the first time. This initiated Kickerleicht. In 2009, Kickerleicht and Federleicht were held for the first time as a double event in the Königshügel sports halls. The University Sports Center expanded the popular event in 2013, offering not only table soccer and badminton but also volleyball and table tennis tournaments.
