Allwetterplatz Königshügel

The Allwetterplatz Königshügel is a lit, multi-sport area operated year long. It is reserved primarily for basketball three days a week and football the remaining four days. The Allwetterplatz can be used either during unsupervised games or during a booked event, either once for an hour or with a subscription. Reservations for a date and time within a subscription or for an individual date are only offered during the summer semester. Access Requirements for the Allwetterplatz

  • In order to use the Allwetterplatz for games, you must purchase the Allwetterplatz card. You can find further information and booking link for the Allwetterplatz card on the pages Allwetterplatz Basketball Games and Allwetterplatz Football Games.
  • In order to subscribe to using the area or book an individual date, you must pay a one time fee. The Allwetterplatz card is not required to book the area. Those interested in football can find further information and booking links on the page Allwetterplatz Football Subscription or Allwetterplatz Football Individual Date; those interested in basketball can find the corresponding information at Allwetterplatz Basketball Subcription or Allwetterplatz Basketball Individual Date.
  • Members of the University also have the possibility to request a permit to use the Allwetterplatz to hold their own events and tournaments.

"Check in" Before Playing

Please check in directly with our service personnel in the hut at the entrance of the Allwetterplatz and show your permit without being asked.

Overview of Facts About the Allwetterplatz

  • Surface made of tartan, a polyurethane substance
  • Three basketball courts next to each other, each measuring 13 x 26 meters or a small field football pitch measuring 20 x 40 meters and goals measuring 3 x2 meters
  • Floodlights
  • Fenced all the way around and equipped with ball catch nets

Priority Regulation

Since the Allwetterplatz is offered for basketball and football and it is not possible to use it simultaneously for basketball and football, the following regulation applies with regards to priority use:

  • On Mondays, Wednesday, and Saturdays, basketball has priority. This means football can only be played if no one is present, who wants to play basketball.

  • On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, football has priority. This means basketball can only be played if no one is present, who wants to play football.

Register Your RWTH BlueCard or Your FH Card

If you have a RWTH BlueCard or FH card that is registered in the HSZ Service Point or with the Allwetterplatz Service Personnel, you do not need a printed registration confirmation. Using the card's registered barcode, our system immediately recognizes whether you have a valid booking in your name.
Please note: If you have exchanged your card, you must re-register it with the HSZ.
