Fitness mit Musik, known as Kontakthüpfen among students and around Aachen, is endurance and strength training in a large group in the gym with rousing music. The University Sports Center offers at least one class per day.

Target Group and Prerequisites
This offer is targeted towards women and men of any age and at all levels of fitness, with or without previous fitness experience.
Content and Objectives
Every class begins with a short warm up. The main component is broken down into endurance and strength training components. The class ends with a cool down and stretching exercises. Different variations of each exercise and movement are offered so that the training can be individually adapted to any fitness level. This makes Fitness with Music an ideal training for all fitness levels. Additionally, participants have fun working out in a large group together. The primary objectives are: endurance and muscle endurance, fat burning, strengthening the cardiovascular system, improving rhythmic ability, fun moving in a large group, and of course meeting others.
To participate you must bring a separate, clean pair of gym shoes. Please also bring a hand towel and something to drink.
Special Participation Requirements
To participate you must have either a BlueCard or the employee or guest sports card. Registration is not required. Important: Admission to the Fitness with Music classes with the most participants, usually the evening classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, is regulated by checking the participation cards. These cards are handed out by University Sports Center employees half an hour before the course begins. Access to the course and the indoor gymnasium are only granted with the participation card valid for that day.
