The ALMA Snowevent will take place on the 20th of November 2012!

Fun, Snow and Party in Landgraaf (Netherland)
For 17,50 Euro you can meet 400 Students from the ALMA region (Aachen, Hasselt, Liege, Maastricht) while skiing, snowboarding and partying in SnowWorld Landgraaf.
We offer you skiing or snowboarding courses for free with limited attendance. If you have some experience you can take part in different workshops.

We offered you:
Travel by bus from your local sports centre
Ski-/snowboard equipment (including shoes)
Entrance free (slope)
Snowboard- and ski guide
One drink
Party with DJ Further

Angebot Frühjahr 2012: Student Night in der SnowWorld Landgraaf mit Bustransfer Januar, Februar & März 2012

Insurance cover
There is no insurance cover for the participation in the events as usual as at the other assets at the University Sport.
We advise you to insure yourself.

The participants were taken to the indoor skiing slope in Landgraaf by bus. The transfer started at the “Bendplatz” in Aachen at 7:00 pm.

For the first time: ticketing for self-travellers
In this year we offered a special registration for those, who arrived on their own. If you registered as a self-traveller, you received your ticket directly on site at SnowWorld Landgraaf.

After the arrival you can get your equipment on loan at the loan desk or directly start skiing or snowboarding with your own equipment. All participants can enjoy themselves until midnight in the SnowWorld Landgraaf: Besides the Funpark there are two long slopes and there is an area for beginners. Furthermore the SNOW SPORT Team offers courses and workshops.

Relaxing is guaranteed in the alpine cabin on the slope or in the ale house at the foyer.
The transfer back home by bus started at 11:00 pm with the “Bendplatz” in Aachen as ultimate destination.

About SnowWorldPfeil

The indoor skiing slope has a permanent temperatur of -5°C. Please remember to take warm clothing, gloves, a cap and a helmet (especially useful if you decide to use the Funpark).

Jackets, pants and Helmets can be lent for free.
Fleece gloves can be bought for 5,- EUR in advance or at the SnowWorld Shop.

The lifts will work during the event until midnight. You can visit the Graubündenhütte on the slope or the ale house at the floyer during the whole evening.

About ALMAPfeil

ALMA is a declaration of the four Universities RWTH Aachen, Université de Liège, Maastricht University and Universiteit Hasselt, which declare their willingness to cooperate in the following fields:

  • in education and continued training
  • in research
  • in the sector services to the community

ALMA-Sports is a part of the official cooperation between these Euregio-universities. ALMA-Sports organises international sports camps, tournaments and events for students with the objective to improve contacts between euregional students.

The first ALMA Snowevent powered by Brunel took place in 2007 and was joined by 400 students. The idea sterns from the Snowevent Landgraaf which is organized by the sports center of Aachen each year. But the motive of ALMA Snowevent is more international. Students from the Euregio-universities RWTH Aachen, Université de Liège, Maastricht University and Universiteit Hasselt, each with 100 students, travel to the Snow World Landgraaf to enjoy an international evening with euregional students while skiing and partying in Landgraaf.
