Access Ban extended to January 31, 2021 and HSZ Digital Workouts 2021
Due to the current developments around the spread of the Corona virus, as well as the recommendations of the relevant authorities, RWTH Aachen University is unfortunately forced again to take further steps to contain the spread of the virus and help relieve the health services. Our aim hereby is to halt or at least slow the further spread of the virus as far as possible. Based on the current decisions of the governments all sports facilities must be shut until January 31, 2021, expectedly. This applies without exception to all facilities of the University Sports Center. Furthermore, an access ban is in place for the duration of the above-mentioned period!
The reopening of the sports facilities and resumption of in-person sport operations depends on future developments and will be communicated on the HSZ website at short notice.
You can still keep fit despite these restrictions, however! The HSZ is offering digital workouts live and on-demand. You are able to start the day actively with our “Early Bird” offers, take an active break at lunch or take part in our many individual course offers in the evening. All offers remain free of charge and will be transmitted live via Zoom.
Please note that the Service Point will only be reachable by telephone, email or by prior arrangement until further notice.
These measures follow the recommendations of the Federal Ministry of Health, the Robert-Koch-Institute and the stipulations of the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia and crisis unit of the Städteregion Aachen.
The rectorate is aware that these measures will lead to a restriction of university life. It considers them necessary, however, and apologizes for the inconvenience and asks for your support.
Further information on the approach of the University administration can be found on the Website of the university.
