Important Information About the LousberglaufUniversity Sports Center
Registration is open on four different dates at the following times:
May 14, at 2pm
May 15, at 5pm
May 16, at 11am
May 17, at 8pm
There is no parking at the start, finish, or along the race route. For security purposes there is a temporary stopping restriction, for which there are also signs. Vehicles that ignore the restriction will be towed at the owners' costs.
You can park for free at the Aachener Bendplatz starting at 3pm. The starting line is just a few minutes away by foot. The entrance will be labeled the day of the event.
Race results can be viewed immediately after the run at the info booth and in the foyer of Otto-Petersen-Haus, Rütscher Straße 155. They are also published under Race Results the day after the event.
Visitors are asked not to park their bikes in the finish area but rather in a special bike parking lot at Theodore-von-Kármán-Haus, Rütscher Straße 121. We ask that you do not lock your bike to the barriers during or after the event. These will be taken down and removed directly after the event.
Fairness and Consideration
We ask all runners to start in their assigned corral and to be considerate towards others during the race.
Late Registrations and Changes to Registrations
It is not possible to register the day of the event. Participants are also not allowed to change their registration the day of the event.
Participants' net time is measured. Individual time keeping begins once a participant crosses the starting line.
Address labels are available at bib pick up. Participants can enter a contact person and phone number in case of an emergency and stick the label to the back of the race bib.
Award Ceremony and Certificates
The race winners would enjoy it if you stayed after the run at the stage during the award ceremony. Once the last runners have crossed the finish line, certificates will be handed out to everyone who crossed the finish line between 8:30 and 10pm in the foyer of Otto-Petersen-Haus. It is possible to pick up all the certificates for a team together. Up to july 28th, 2017 you can pick your certificates at the Service Point of the university sports center during the regular oppening hours.
By registering, every participant confirms that they are in good athletic health. The University Sports Center does not conduct medical checks.
We recommend all participants actively train.
Corrals and Bib Numbers
You are not allowed to give your bib to someone else. Only the registered individual is eligible to participate. Ineligible participants will be disqualified.
When you pick up your bib number, you will be assigned to a corral. When the gun goes off, the runners from the first corral start. Then, all the remaining participants move forward. A second starting shot is then fired.
Bib Number Pick-Up
Bibs can be picked up at Otto-Petersen-Haus, Rütscher Straße 155. Individual participants and teams with less than ten people must pick up their bibs individually. Teams that have more than ten runners must send their team leader to pick up the bibs.

The bib pick-up takes place on tuesday, 4th july 2017, 3:30pm-19pm and on the day of the event, wednesday, 5th july 2017, 3:30pm-6pm. We ask all runners to come on time. Otherwise they risk not being able to pick up their bib and losing their right to participate.
Please bring your registration confirmation to bib pick-up.
Cancellations and rebooking are not possible!
Bags can be left at the bag drop in the ASEAG bus. The bag drop will be manned from 4 to 9:30pm at the latest.
Changing Rooms and Showers
Unfortunately there are no changing rooms or showers available on the race grounds.
The event is organized by the RWTH Aachen University Sports Center in collaboration with the students in the Rütscher Straße dormitories.
Preparation and Preparatory Courses
We recommend all runners to both active train and to consume enough liquids. Additionally, they should not push past physical limits at high temperatures and make sure to warm up sufficiently before starting.
Good preparation is need to be fit for the Lousberglauf. We offer two running preparation courses, which you can register for on our homepage.
