History
The RWTH Indoor Soccer Cup was held for the first time in 2006. That year ten teams competed at Sporthalle Königshügel and fought for the title of champion. Due to the large demand for the limited spots, a rule was amended in 2007, expanding the tournament to 20 teams. Since then futsal has been played at Königshügel. Five team members play with a small soccer with less bounce and with handball goal nets.
Starting places are highly coveted each year. Each team must apply with a creative, convincing application to receive one of the 20 spots.
The RWTH Women's Soccer Team organizes the event in collaboration with the University Sports Center and provides refreshments the day of the event.
