The Lousberglauf powered by STAWAG is a yearly cult event and a sporting highlight of the summer semester in Aachen. Of course, we needn't miss out on the Lousberglauf this year, either.

A Digital Cult Run

The Lousberglauf has been tradition for over three decades and the starting places have always been quickly booked out. In order to comply with the NRW Corona Protection Ordinance the run has had to be cancelled this year. Instead, a digital version of the run will take place this year. The number of participants is unlimited and the run is independent of location, so that all interested runners can take part this year.

Run and Transmission of Results

Participation is free of charge there is no prior registration is required. Only the length of the route and time period are specified. As with the real thing, the distance to cover is 5'555m. This distance must be covered by the runners within the week of the respective run and tracked by one's fitness app or smartwatch of choice. All the details can be found in the announcement. Afterwards you can send your results to the organisers by uploading them to the website of University Sports Dourtmund.

STAWAG is again the title sponsor of the Lousberglauf this year and is also supporting it in its digital form. Stadtwerke Aachen AG is the public utility company of the city of Aachen and offers products and services in the areas of gas, district heating, water, and electricity. An excellent partnership has long existed between STAWAG and the HSZ. Its commitment to the university sports is particularly appreciated in these trying times.

Code of Conduct

The government COVID-19 pandemic guidelines applicable at the time of the event must be observed by all participants. All participants commit themselves to achieving their run times fairly and without the use of aids giving them an unfair advantage or other manipulations.
