Ladies and Gentlemen, dear equestrian sport fans,

The yearly equestrian tournament in the Albert-Vahle-Halle is a must for all equestrian sport lovers. Entry is free. An unusual characteristic of the student equestrian tournament is the fact that the contestants ride in a K.O. system on unfamiliar horses, which are organized by the hosts, in both the show jumping and dressage disciplines.

The tournament sets off on Saturday morning at 10:00am with class-A team dressage, where the 15 best riders will go on to compete in class-L dressage with snaffle for one of six places in the semi-final, where they will ride in class-L with curb bit. In the afternoon the first round of jumping will take place, also in class-A.

It continues on Sunday morning with more jumping. From about 10:00am the tournament will carry on with class-L jumping, where the two best riders will qualify for the final, a class-M style jumping exam. The finals will take place from 1:00pm. Following the exciting show jumping final, the jumping course will be taken down and replaced with the dressage arena. The dressage finals should prove to be a further highlight for the weekend, as two horses await the both finalists with which they will negotiate a class-M dressage exam and freestyle class-M dressage competition.

Following the sporting part, on Saturday evening, equestrian sport fans and their friends are all invited to take part in the Rider’s Night at Eckertweg 20, G-Bar. Entry costs 5 euros and there will be a small selection of cheap drinks.

So join us and enjoy the excitement of the sport in the great atmosphere of the Albert-Vahle-Halle and experience the high spirits and solidary of student riders from all over Germany.
