This project component is focussed on the everyday of working people, which is increasingly characterised by sitting. However, this lifestyle can carry with it significant health consequences. For this reason long periods of sitting should be avoided and interrupted by regular active breaks. Conversely, every movement and every interruption of sitting is associated with health benefits. (vgl. Rütten & Pfeiler, 2016).

The aim of BottomsUp is first of all to raise of "sitting" during the ordinary work day and sensitise to the issue of long periops of sitting. In a second step concrete incentives and alternatives will be raised and offered.
