Content and Goals
The martial arts workout is specifically designed to improve strength, speed and agility, as they are particularly needed in martial arts. Through general strength exercises with our own body weight, low stances and stance changes we will strengthen our musculature and those improve our foundations for a stronger execution of martial arts techniques. Short drills will be practiced, including also strikes and simple kicks. In doing so we will also strain our coordination and train our stamina and speed as well as control and stability. Additionally, we will strain and stretch the most important muscle groups for martial to improve their flexibility. The workout can be adjusted to one’s personal fitness level, as easier and tougher exercise variants will be demonstrated.
The course is suitable to all levels. Prior knowledge is not required. Besides a mat or soft surface no further training equipment is required.
The capacity of this course is limited, so that the course instructors can advise the participants individually.
