Content and Goals
Who doesn’t know it? Neck and shoulders are stiff, one’s head hurts and one’s back has also seen better days. The body is reacting to stress, inactivity and poor posture with muscular tension, which is the main cause of back pain. A healthy, strong back is important at every age and contributes to a good posture and wellbeing. This back fitness training is aimed at everybody suffering from shoulder, neck and back pain as a result of inactivity who enjoys movement and wishes to do something for their health.
In Back Fitness, your core muscles are actively and carefully stretched and strengthened. Additionally, through back-friendly exercises the body is helped to more coordination and the spine to more mobility. The session is concluded with a short stretching program.
Prior experience is not required. In terms of training equipment, a mat or towel are helpful. Certain items that can be found around the house, such as a small towel, (news-)paper etc. can be used to add more variety to the exercises.
