Floorball Level 2 to 3

 

Target Group and Prerequisites

This course is targeted towards interested individuals who have basic playing knowledge and possess the technical fundamentals from Level 1. Athletes with experience in other stick-ball sports usually fit in well at this level, getting a look at floorball.

Content and Objectives

The objective of the course is to learn a team sport with three or four field players per team. The focus of a team's tactics is on defensive play with simple zone defense around the slot and deep defense in front of its own goal. Participants will learn to solidify their skills with the ball. Target use of backhand grips and ball control while in movement are also main aspects of ball technique. Participants will learn to avoid stick strikes by screening the ball with the opposite forehand. They will also learn to correctly conduct bullies.
