Blausteinsee

Special regulations apply to the use of the sports facility in accordance with the corona decree.

Target Group and Requirements

The Kayak Polo training (Level 2) is open to all beginners, experts, returners, club players and people from other canoe disciplines, after consultation with the course instructor.

Content and Objectives

Kayak polo is a team sport, which combines the playful handling of a ball with perfect mastery of the boat. At the university level kayak polo is exclusively played in mixed teams.

Particularities

From April until October we train every Tuesday and Thursday in the summer at the Blausteinsee near Eschweiler. Boats, paddles, life vests, helmets and spraydecks are provided by the university. Participation in Kayak Polo is only permitted to athletes who have obtained a single date booking in addition to their sports authorization card, as the total number of people allowed to present per day is limited, so that infections can be tracked in case of emergency.
