Running Level 1
Target Group and Requirements
This course is suitable for running beginners and returners of all ages who want to be systematically introduced to running by a qualified instructor without performance pressure and while having fun.
Contents and Goals
Under the motto: "From walking to running", the focus of the course is to give people enjoyment in running. The focus is on the ABC running school and the development of a good running technique. The aerobic endurance capacity is increased step by step. The course also contains important information and advice about running, such as the fundamentals of training, nutrition, and breathing techniques. Two instructors will accompany the course so that participants can be separated into smaller groups based on their individual needs and demands.
Meeting Point for the First Session
The meeting point is at the turnaround ramp to the entrance of the Sports and Seminar Room, middle level of the University Sports Center. Afterwards, various running routes will be run in the stadium, on the Finnbahn, around the Königshügel, Lousberg, and the university hospital. Please wear sportswear and running shoes already at the first session. The changing rooms can only be used to a limited extent. Regular participation is recommended.
