Target Group and Requirements

This course is aimed at participants who have actively attended and successfully completed the Level 1 course in the first period.

Contents and Goals

Following the ABC training there is the possibility to book the DTG training from the second period on. The implementation of theory and practice takes place in accordance with the guidelines of the Association of German Sports Divers VDST. During the second period 5 dives are offered for the participants. In consultation with the diving instructors it may be necessary to complete 1-2 additional dives to obtain the diving license.

All successfully completed exercises with ABC equipment and DTG as well as the theory examination can be recognized as a preliminary performance for the first open water diving certificate CMAS*. The necessary open water dives to upgrade from the VDST basic diving certificate to the CMAS* are not offered within the university sports program. However, there are numerous possibilities for this, which we will gladly explain to you during the course. The VDST examinations and brevets which build on the basic diving certificate, such as CMAS*, are recognized worldwide.

Borrowing of Diving Equipment

The equipment for scuba diving (diving regulator, jacket, and tank) can be borrowed for a fee of 30 euros in connection with a deposit of 200 euros for the period of the course.
