Rules of Conduct Corona Interim Program

Compliance with the Corona Rules of Conduct is compulsory for all participants of the interim program.

Sports Facility

Water Sports Facility Wildenhof

Special regulations apply to the use of the sports facility in accordance with the corona decree.

Target Group and Requirements

Prior experience is not required for this course. Only members of the University are eligible to participate.

Content and Objectives

In this course you’ll learn how to set up and take down the equipment as well as the technical language for surfing, starting, steering, turning, wind directions, and safety tips. On the last day of the course there is a theoretical and practical exam, which certifies that you have sufficient knowledge about surfing and the rules of the water. This certificate allows you to rent surf equipment anywhere in the world. Thank goodness for the DSV surfing license!

You will receive an email with the information on your course before the course date. After the course you can use the University's surfing card to use the materials at Wildenhof at a discount during the summer semester.

Particularities

The beginners' courses usually run from Friday to Sunday and end with a theoretical and practical exam and the DSV surfing license. The surfing courses are held at the Rursee. Currently, no accommodation at the Wildenhof is offered.

Due to the special circumstances of the outdoor interim program, we will inform you of short-notice course cancellations and facilities closures, especially weather-related ones, affecting this course by email.
