Content and Objectives
Hatha Yoga, in the style of B.K.S. Iyengar, is a holistic and powerful training method for individuals of all ages. At the physical level posture and balance are stabilized, muscles are strengthened, tension is released, and body perception is refined. At the mental and emotional level yoga helps regulate stress, train respiratory flow, promotes concentration, and releases energy. Hatha Yoga brings life energy to a healthy flow and strengthens and stretches the entire body. The more calm yoga style focuses on holding positions for a longer time.
In level 1 course the objective is to learn the principles of yoga, that is the different yoga poses in combination with consistent, deep breathing, and to increase overall wellbeing. The alternation between exercise and relaxation phases allow for a soft start and entry into yoga practice. In level 2 courses the complexity and intensity of yoga exercises is increased and the focus lays on the appropriate breathing technique.
