Autogenic Training

 

Autogenic training is a relaxation technique in which deep internal calm is achieved through conscious concentration on one’s own body. The technique's effectiveness is linked to the assumption that a calm physical state can elicit a calming of one's mental state – the reverse of the common experience that inner agitation can cause physical stresses.

This offer is targeted towards students and staff looking for ways to relax in order to be able to approach daily stressful situations more calmly.

Content and Objectives

For healthy people the applications of Autogenic Training consist primarily of general quality of life improvement, increased learning performance and greater sporting performance. The basic level consists of six exercises in the following areas: experiencing heaviness, experiencing warmth, heart regulation, breathing regulation, stomach warmth, and forehead cooling.

Please bring comfortable clothes, warming socks and a blanket!
