Qi Gong is a very ancient energetic exercise system from China that involves the body, mind, and breathing. Qi means "air" or "breath", often "energy" or "vital substance"; Gong means "work". Qi is the energy of life that is present in every living being. It is in constant flow through our body and can be increased or consumed.

Basic Information
Sports Facilities
The class takes place at the Gymnastics Hall Ahornstraße. The special rules of use within the framework of the Coronavirus Ordinance for the sports facility apply.
Target Groups and Requirements
The course is open to any level. No special prior knowledge is required. Regular participation is recommended.
Content and Goals
Qi Gong is the "work with Qi" with the aim to harmonize the flow of Qi and thus increase our well-being. The exercises are based on the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, the meridian system, and acupuncture points. Regular practice of Qi Gong trains concentration and mindfulness and serves to keep the body healthy.
In this course, moving Qi Gong is practiced, i.e. different postures are performed and the movements are carried out consciously and slowly in sync with breathing. The body is stretched, physical strength is increased and posture is improved. The Qi Gong practice is complemented by short meditation sessions.
Equipment
Apart from comfortable clothes and your own towel, no special materials are needed.
