Mindfulness is a form of meditation that aims to enable heightened awareness of the here and now. A state of relaxation and concentration is thereby reached. For this purpose, the methods of meditation, visualization, breath relaxation and self-reflection will be learned in the courses of the University Sports Center.

The offer is aimed at students and staff looking for pathways to relaxations, in order to confront daily stress situations more calmly.
Content and Goals
Mindfulness is a state of relaxed awareness in which concentration on the present is effortlessly possible. The senses are opened and you are able to sense everything happening in the present, including thoughts and feelings. And because it takes time to reach a state of awareness at what one is currently experiencing, mindfulness exercises are always simultaneously awareness exercises. Additionally, the experience of the here and now is very relaxing, pleasant and promotes concentration. The course includes a combination of meditation, visualization, breath relaxation and self-reflection. The aim of the course is to train one’s mindfulness in three area of one’s life: Mindfulness of oneself, mindfulness of other people and mindfulness of different processes and relationships.
One’s own Yoga mat, as the HSZ cannot provide any equipment during the interim program. Please bring comfortable clothes, warming socks and a blanket!
