Champéry is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area on the Swiss side. The mountain village lies picturesquely below the striking Dents-du-Midi mountain range at the end of the Val d’Illiez valley. The village is characterized by closely packed, typical Valais wooden chalets, giving it a charming atmosphere. Champéry offers good tourist infrastructure with a modern sports center and numerous restaurants, cafés, and discos.

Ski Region

Depart for 600 kilometers of slopes this winter – this unique opportunity presents itself in Portes du Soleil, in the Swiss-French bordering area high above Lake Geneva. Skiing and snowboarding are unique here. You can select a new valley daily and always discover new and fresh slopes. From Champéry you take a gondola or chair lift to the high plateau of Planachaux, from which you can quickly access the super regions of Les Crosets and Avorriaz. The general lift pass can be used for over 160 cable cars and lifts.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival takes place in the evening before the first day of the trip. Departure is in the afternoon of the last day after skiing. Return to the starting location will be early the following morning.

Accomodation

The house Jolimont is located only about 500 meters from the first lift and has 20 bedrooms on four floors. Jolimont is well suited for an excellent travel program: après ski on the sun terrace or in the party room, group evenings with cheese fondue or lumumba with the fresh milk from the neighboring farmer, and table tennis tournaments. You certainly won't be bored once you leave the slopes.

Food

Self-catering is organized and carried out in the whole group, good mood in the cooking groups is guaranteed. We organize the grocery shopping centrally.
Everyone has to help one day in a cooking group. Despite all efforts to offer vegan food, it cannot be guaranteed.

Important Notes

  • On this tour we cannot offer lessons for beginners in skiing and snowboarding! We recommend all beginners our ski and snowboard lessons in the ski hall in Landgraaf.
  • Ski and snowboard equipment is not included in the price.
  • Wearing a helmet is compulsory during courses!
  • Ski and snowboard lessons will be in German!
  • Participants must be at least 18 years old.
  • We also wish to inform you about the general information about the Extra Tours and that a cancellation fee is charged in case of a withdrawal. For this reason we recommend that all participants purchase their own travel cancellation insurance

Not Included in the Price

  • 7-day lift pass for Portes du Soleil: approximately 323 Swiss francs for participants to the age of 25 and approximately 360 Swiss francs for participants older than 26 (winter 2024/2025). (A Pricechange is possible!) Four Swiss francs must also be paid as deposit. You will pay either on site or give the money to the tour director during the ride. Please bring exact change.

  • Surcharge for a double room: 25 Euros per person. The rooms are approximately 12 square meters.
  • Ski and snowboard material is not included
