Oriental and indian dance is equally suitable for women and men of every age. It improves one's self-confidence and is an oasis of energy and zest for life. Oriental dance has a strong, positive influence on posture, musculature, the core, pelvis, and spine. The isolated movements lead to particularly intensive body perception. In the first class you will immediately see that oriental dance is more than just shaking your hips. With the sounds of the Orient in the background you will receive instruction on how to athletically, dynamically, and elegantly move your body.

Oriental Dance Level 1

Target Group and Prerequisites

This level is targeted towards participants who have little to no experience with Oriental dance.

Content and Objectives

You will learn to implement hip and upper body accents through soft circles, figure eights and loops with your hips, and pelvic and upper body waves. Elegant and smooth arm and hand movements effectively frame the dance figure. A beneficial stretching phase rounds out the class. At the end of the course participants will have improved their sense for their body and mobility.

Oriental Dance Level 2

Target Group and Prerequisites

This level is targeted towards participants, who already have initial experience in related styles of dance or would like to build on Level 1.

Content and Objectives

You will learn to implement hip and upper body accents through soft circles, figure eights and loops with your hips, and pelvic and upper body waves. You will also work on coordinated, isolate movements, which allow for better accents. A beneficial stretching phase rounds out the class. The goal of the course is to improve coordination, mobility, and the sense for one's body.

Oriental Dance Level 3

Target Group and Prerequisites

This level is targeted towards participants with experience in Oriental dance and who have already successfully completed Level 2.

Content and Objectives

The goal is to improve the quality of the movement and to perform in front of an audience. Participation in the performances is voluntary and is not a requirement of course participation.
