Arnis is a Filipino martial art, which is particularly well suited to self-defense, as it covers both armed and unarmed fighting. Unlike many other martial arts, in Arnis, weapons are used from the very beginning. Filipino boxing, known as Panantukan, is also extensively addressed. Aside from classic boxing techniques, participants also learn techniques with an open hand, including underarm and body manipulation. In classic boxing these are considered unsporting and are forbidden. They are, however, excellent for self defense.

Target Group and Requirements
This course is aimed at all those who wish to learn Arnis. This course is equally open to those with prior experience. As there are no particular physical requirements and weapons serve as so-called equalizers, Arnis is equally suited to both men and women.
Content and Goals
In Arnis training, you will learn double stick, single stick, blade, and unarmed techniques. The broad spectrum of techniques ranges from blocking techniques to strike, locking and disarming techniques. Arnis training is almost exclusively composed of partner exercises, although we will have to maintain minimum distances due to the current situation. Naturally, the safety of our participants takes top priority. The speed and complexity of exercises will be increased gradually based on participants' knowledge and skills.
Participants must bring a separate, clean pair of gym shoes. Normal training clothing is sufficient.
