Aqua Fitness is a strength and endurance workout in water with tailored, motivating music. The properties of water are used to combine both an effective and gentle workout. The buoyancy of the water relieves the joints and water resistance is used for additional training effect.

Target Group and Prerequisites
This offer is targeted towards women and men of all ages and fitness levels, with or without prior experience.
Content and Objectives
This water aerobic workout is assisted with boards and weights that can be individually filled with water, making it possible to vary the strain. The weights can be borrowed during Opening Hours at the service point. For this, you have to book the swimming weights course. The deposit will be kept only in case of loss or damage to the equipment. Each class begins with a warm up. Depending on the instructor the main component is broken down into strengthening and endurance components. Some core and back excercises will be take place out of the water.
Special Participation Requirements
Upon registering for this course you automatically become a member of the swimming sport section of the Verein Freunde und Förder des Aachener Hochschulsports e.V. FuFAH for the duration of the course. The fee for the course includes the membership fee for the swimming sport section of FuFAH Sport e.V. for the duration of the course. The limited membership does require a separate cancellation and automatically terminates with the end of the course.
You must wear clothing suitable for swimming, such as swim shorts, a bathing suit, or a well-fitting bikini. Through the swimming weights course you can borrow a set of swimming weights for the duration of the course. Pickup and return of the weights is possible during opening hours at the service point of the University Sports Center.
