Unfortunately Charleston course can not be offered this winter semester.
This class allows you to get to know the roaring 20s to 40s through dance. Dive into the world of swing, beginning with the syntactic, staccato rythms of the Roaring Twenties and onward to the softer, more flowing rhythms of the 40s.

Target Group and Prerequisites
This level is targeted towards all participants with little to no experience with the Charleston, and those with Charleston experience and happy feet.
Content and Objectives
Basic steps, rhythms, and the character of the Charleston and jazz roots; learning choreography. Participants' balance and coordination of leg movements will be greatly improved at the end of the course.
Further objectives are fun with movements from the 1920s to 30s and with learning choreography, so that nothing stands in the way of dancing wildly at the swing parties of today.
To participate you must bring a separate, clean pair of gym shoes, if possible, with a slippery sole.
