Hall Floors Are Glowing: HSZ Hosts the DHM Hockey
On March 11 to 12, 2017 the University Sports Center of RWTH (HSZ) will host the German University Championship in hockey. Eleven teams from all over Germany will compete against each other and viewers can look forward to great entertainment.
The German University Championship (DHM) of the German University Sports Federation (adh) are nationally of the utmost importance. Every year approximately 40 championships of 32 different sports are hosted, that is why entertainment for every single student is guaranteed. Next weekend hockey teams from all over Germany will demonstrate their best performance at the sports hall Königshügel. The highlight: leading athletes as well as amateur sportsman will compete together and will give their best.
Woman’s teams and men’s teams arrive from near and far. For example there are teams from Mannheim, Heidelberg or Berlin that will take part in this event, all together Aachen will be visited by sportsmen out of eight different cities. The start of the preliminaries is on Saturday at 9 am. Even more thrilling will be the finals on Sunday. Besides the sportive performances, this event is mainly about “encounter, communication and interaction”, said Peter Lynen, head of the HSZ. That is why everyone is cordially welcomed who would like to support the teams on the grandstands of the sports hall Königshügel.
