Fit for Fun: Training for Training Ideas Without Weights

Sometimes you don’t need any more than your own body weight to train effectively. On October 27, 24 course instructors from the University Sports Center were introduced to exercises that can be performed without aides.


The course instructors of the University Sports Center know, that “training with one’s own body weight” can be effective and that one doesn’t necessarily need weights or machines from the fitness center. Last Saturday, 24 of them had the opportunity to learn new trends and methods with the sports scientist Katharina Knittel. In seven hours, they learned new and creative training methods without training aids. The new approaches were immediately put into practice and discussed. The course instructors are looking forward to putting what they learned in to practice at the university sports center.
