A Passion that Connects – The ALMA Snowevent

The Alma Snowevent represents the shared passion of the four universities Aachen, Liège, Maastricht and Hasselt/Diepenbeek: Winter sport. Over 600 students of the different universities come together in the Landgraaf SnowWorld. Not only advanced winter athletes, but also beginners have the opportunity to improve and expand on their skills. Qualified ski and snowboard instructors lead the participants onto the piste.

Snow sport fans should definitely mark November 27 2018 in their calendars, as that is when the ALMA Snowevent will take place this year. Registration for the event is opened on October 31. The beginners’ courses are booked separately and take place between 8 and 10pm. For advanced skiers and snowboarders, there will be workshops in the areas of technique, slalom and fun park, which can be visited without prior registration. Due to the international nature of the event, all courses and workshops will be carried out in English, so that participants of all nationalities can join in.

The end of the day is also taken care of: After the event, there’ll be a relaxed après-ski get-together in the ski hütte.

The participation fee is 24.90 euros and includes entry, material (ski or snowboard), courses and shuttle transfers. Shuttle bus departure begins at 6:30pm from the Bendplatz, Aachen. The return journey for Aachen’s participants will take place at around midnight.
