DHM Gymnastics - Best Result for Aachen Women's Team at the adh-Cup

After a two-year break, the German University Championships (DHM) in apparatus gymnastics took place in Munich on June 17 and 18, 2022. Numerous gymnastics enthusiasts from all over Germany competed on the balance beam, high bar, and other apparatus. The Wettkampfgemeinschaft (WG) Aachen was there with 33 participants, including three competition teams and a motivated fan club.


On Friday, June 17, the DHM competitions began in the hall. At 6pm the first men's team from Aachen started. Cheered on by the large fan club, the five gymnasts achieved the 13th place out of a total of 29.

On Saturday, the focus was on the adh Cup. Teams of the ambitious mass sports compete against each other. The WG Aachen participated with one women's and one men's team. There was a lot of cheering, the best result was achieved on the parallel bars. In the men's team, the performance was enough for a good 10th place in the end. In the women's team, the best apparatus with expressive exercises was the floor. The outstanding performance was rewarded, the women's team became vice-champion out of 26 teams, achieving the best result ever for the WG Aachen.

At the final party, the successful weekend could be celebrated properly before the long way back to Aachen on Sunday morning. The common conclusion: Great atmosphere, top sporting performances, a great fan club, and motivated students - next year the WG Aachen will be there again!
