*** Zumba im Hochschulsport ***

ZUMBA® is a dance fitness program inspired by Latin American dance. It was created by dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez in the nineties in Colombia. ZUMBA® is considered a secret workout because focus is placed on fun while moving and the effort is hardly noticed. ZUMBA® creates a party atmosphere that animates and motivates.

Target Group and Requirements

This offer is targeted towards women and men of all ages and levels of fitness, with or without prior fitness experience.

Content and Objectives

ZUMBA® is packed with fiery, easy-to-learn steps and movements, pulsating Latin American and international rhythms, and sequences that enter your veins, improving your rhythmic and balance ability on the side. It contains elements from dance forms like merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, flamenco, tango, and samba. Due to the changes between more and less intensive and faster and slower rhythms, the training resembles interval training. It trains endurance and muscle stamina and promotes fat burning. The focus of every ZUMBA®, however, is the fun of moving your body in a group.

Equipment

To participate you must bring outdoor sport shoes. Please bring a towel and something to drink.
