CHIO City welcomes student riders

From December 2 until December 4, the CHU offers opportunities to experienced riders, to compete against students of other Universities in dressage and showjumping. The tournament will be organized by the University Sports Center of the RWTH Aachen (HSZ) and the student rider group Aachen again this year.

As soon as the riders arrive in the Albert-Vahle hall at the beginning of December, it'll be time again: the CHU, the annual recurring student showjumping event will take place! The abbreviation CHU (Concours Hippique Universitaire) is the qualification tournament for the German University Championships (DHM). 12 teams coming from Germany will participate in dressage as well as in showjumping from A-class. The students, which are provided with horses of the organizing riders group of Aachen, comepete against each other in a knockout system. Beside the possibility to qualify themselves for the DHM, participants have the opportunity to collect points for the ranking list of Deutscher Akademischer Reitverband. Those who would like to witness the rider groups and horses in action, are invited to visit the CHIO ground. The entrance is free.
