RWTH Aachen and FH Aachen have signed a framework agreement as "partner universities of top-class sport" to give top-class student athletes the opportunity to successfully complete their studies despite competitions, training, and assignments on the national team.
Through their collaboration with the Olympiastützpunk Rheinland RWTH Aachen and FH Aachen can offer squad athletes mentorship. Professsor Markschies, named the Delegate for Top-Class Sports by the Rectorate of the RWTH, was named the mentor of this partnership. With offers ranging from career advising to special academic advising and planning, steps are being take to support these athletes.
