Honorary award from Sparkasse Aachen goes to gymnastics chairwoman Talida Krietemeyer

With great commitment, team spirit and passion for sport, Talida Krietemeyer has shaped the gymnastics community as the chairwoman of gymnastics at the University Sports Center Aachen (HSZ). This year, she was awarded the Sparkasse Aachen Volunteer Award for her voluntary work.

Open atmosphere in the gymnastics club

Talida discovered her enthusiasm for gymnastics as a child and, after moving to Aachen, quickly joined the university sports club Turn-Treff. It was the special community within the sport that motivated her to take on the role of chairwoman. Her goal: to continue to promote and maintain the strong sense of togetherness and open atmosphere that characterize gymnastics at the HSZ.

Talida's highlights as Chairwoman

During her time as Chairwoman from June 2022 to December 2024, she experienced numerous highlights - first and foremost the University Championships, which she planned together with a dedicated organizational team and attended with the Aachen gymnastics group. In addition to semester planning for the gymnastics courses and supporting the athletes, strengthening the community was particularly important to her. A successful example of this was this year's Christmas party, at which her successor was elected and Talida was given a heartfelt thank you for her commitment.

The Sparkasse Aachen Volunteer Award recognizes her outstanding voluntary work. Talida has not only offered gymnastics enthusiasts a sporting home, but has also actively lived and passed on the values of university sport - community, cohesion and commitment.
