Aixplosives Aachen awarded with the city's silver cup - Honored with the German championship title in mixed softball.

A grand stage for great achievements: On June 3, 2025, the mixed softball team Aixplosives Aachen was honored in a ceremonial setting during the athletes' award ceremony of the city of Aachen. In the coronation hall of Aachen City Hall, the team received the silver cup from the city of Aachen. This is a special recognition for outstanding athletic performances.

German Champions in Softball

The Aixplosives were able to prevail against strong competition in the Mixed Softball Champions League last year, securing 1st place, which also means the German championship title in mixed softball. With a lot of team spirit, playing strength, and commitment, the team has more than earned this success.

Awards for Sports

The athletes' award ceremony is held annually by the Aachen Sports Federation (Stadtsportbund Aachen e.V.) in cooperation with the city of Aachen. In addition to silver cups, bronze cups (for youth sports), the Karlssiegel (for senior sports), and awards for volunteers are also presented.

For the University Sports Center (HSZ), this award is further proof of the athletic quality and great commitment that many student-led teams from university sports exhibit. The Aixplosives exemplify the success that can be achieved through years of training, team cohesion, and passion for sport.
