NRW Uni-Laufcup 2025 - Start with Team Aachen!

The summer semester has begun - and with it comes a highlight for all running enthusiasts in university sports: the NRW University Running Cup. In this competition, running teams from universities throughout North Rhine-Westphalia compete against each other at university sports running events.

The NRW University Running Cup consists of five races, each of which is organized by the university sports locations of Dortmund, Cologne, Münster, Aachen and Essen. Traditionally, the Lousberglauf is the finale of the NRW Uni-Laufcup. This year, however, there is a special additional race: the final will be held in Essen as part of the FISU World University Games, which will take place in Germany in 2025. This promises a lot of excitement in an international atmosphere of top-class sport.


It starts on June 4 in Dortmund. Further heats will take place on June 25 and July 2. The date for the final is yet to be announced.

All those who would like to take part in the NRW University Running Cup this summer and start as part of a motivated, sporty team for Aachen University Sports are cordially invited to come to the introductory meeting on April 29 at 8 pm. University members according to § 9 HG NRW - i.e. all those who study or work full-time at a university in North Rhine-Westphalia - are eligible to start.
