Over 500 students from the Euregional universities – RWTH Aachen University, Université de Liège, Maastricht University und Universiteit Hasselt – came together in the SnowWorld Landgraaf during this year’s ALMA Snowevent. For many years now, the ALMA Snowevent has not only been an opportunity to visit skiing and snowboarding courses or prove ones mettle on the piste or in the fun park or, but also to meet students from other countries. A majority of the participants, about 300 students, were from Aachen.
Individual ability is not important. Total beginners and experienced alpinists are equally welcome to take part in the courses and workshops. The various courses for beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders were very well received, as they offered people the opportunity to get (back) into the swing of things before the start of the winter season proper. The sight of all the snow was something special, especially for all those students from areas without much of it. Those who were still hungry for more after skiing in Landgraaf have the opportunity to make use of the many winter sport courses offered by University Sports. And for those for whom even that isn’t enough, University Sports offers countless Extra Tours to Europe’s top ski regions, which are bound to satisfy their hunger for winter sports. Sign up for these is already ongoing.
