Exciting Matches in an Icy Environment: The 31. EUC is here

On December 6, the Tivoli ice sports hall will again be shaking, as it is when the Aachen Steelers from the Mechanical Engineering student body, the ET Lions from the Electrical Engineering student body and the Medical Strikers from the Medicine student body clash in epic duels on the ice. In order to keep the title and be able to carry on calling the “ThyssenKrupp”-Trophy their own, the Medical Strikers will have to hold their own against the ET Lions and Aachen Steelers. That won’t be easy, as the trophy is highly coveted by all student bodies.

Since as early as the end of October, the teams have been hard at work training for the event, whereby the focus has been on skating skills as well as stick control. The EUC stands for a unique and incomparable atmosphere and nobody wants to miss this cult event. The event will be opened, as is tradition, by the ice hockey team of RWTH Aachen University, the Ice Emperors RWTH/FH Aachen, who this year will be competing against Akademischer Eishockey-Club Zürich (AEC Zürich) of ETH Zürich.
