The summer semester is dominated by RWTH FH SPORTS DAY, where numerous tournaments, a ton of exciting taster offers, and the popular institute olympiads attract participants, and the Lousberglauf, a race steeped in tradition that has an effect beyond the University and into the region's population. As a university with top sports, we also support competitive sports and annually hold a German university championship.
During the winter semester the snow sport events and the cult Ice Hockey Uni Cup are highlights of the event calendar. However, the University Sports Show and the RWTH Indoor Football Cup are also traditional highlights of the cold season.
University sports and its extraordinary events moves thousands of people and is supported by hundreds of committed volunteers. We are a strong supported of volunteer work in Aachen.
