Pausenexpress for Students

Students in lecture hall doing exercises

The Student Pausenexpress consists of a 5 to 7 minute active break in lectures and seminars, which is lead by qualified course instructors of RWTH University Sports.

The aim is to sensitise students and lecturers to the importance of movement and exercise during everyday teaching and learning as well as raising awareness to ways in which lecturers could bring more movement into their lectures and seminars and thereby promote good health.

Based on the already established Pausenexpress for employees of RWTH, the Pausenexpress for students was first tested in the summer semester of 2016 in several seminars and lectures before being extended to others in the following semesters. Regular evaluations have shown that the Pausenexpress is received very positively by students and lecturers alike. For this reason, the project, which is sponsored by the Techniker Krankenkasse, a health insurer, will carry on in the 2017/18 wintersemester.

We are always looking for instructors and also offer training for that. If you are interested in getting your fellow students or staff moving for good pay, then contact the Pausenexpress Team!
