Soon, the campus in Jülich will be the perfect place for a sports break! Large-scale indoor and outdoor facilities are planned, inviting students to engage in sports, meet friends, and relax. Currently, the project is in the planning phase—we’ll keep you updated here with the latest information!

Campus life in Jülich is set to receive a significant upgrade: the planned sports complex will be a hub for sports and community, while also providing space for new cultural events. The **University Sports Center (Hochschulsportzentrum)** of RWTH will supply the new facilities with a diverse range of attractive sports programs. Additionally, the total sports area of over **2,000 m²** offers ample space for individual exercise routines.

Indoor Sports at a Modern Level

The ground floor will feature a sports hall spanning up to **480 m²**, designed to accommodate a variety of university sports programs. Adjacent to this, students can enjoy strength and endurance training in a state-of-the-art **fitness studio**. The upper floor will house two halls dedicated to dance, martial arts, and health courses. A highlight: an **indoor bouldering facility** that caters to both bouldering enthusiasts and beginners alike.

Outdoor Sports Facilities

For all outdoor enthusiasts, the new Jülich sports complex will not disappoint! Over **830 m²** of sand courts will invite students to play beach volleyball, bringing a beach-like atmosphere right to the university. Adjacent to this, a **multi-purpose grass area** covering approximately **500 m²** will provide space for various outdoor courses—or for individual training sessions.

A Place to Stay and Socialize

The new sports complex aims not only to promote physical activity among students but also to foster community and networking beyond academic disciplines. To this end, a **sports bar** is planned on the ground floor of the modern sports hall, featuring an outdoor terrace that directly overlooks the grass area. This dining area will be accessible not only to athletes but also offer the ideal setting to unwind, relax, and meet friends after classes or work.

We look forward to shaping the future of university sports in Jülich together with you—more modern and progressive than ever before!
