This year there was also a men's eight with a boat at the start again. The Aachen eight had to compete against the teams from Karlsruhe, Cologne and Constance. After a successful start, the Aachen team unfortunately could only row through the finish line in third place.

An Aachen team was also represented in the mixed double four category in the beginners' section. The beginner divisions are teams that have only learned to row at the university. For their first regatta, the team rowed to fourth place in Final D.

The final race for the Aachen rowing team was contested by the men's quad. After qualifying in the preliminary heat for Sunday's final, the Aachen men's quad came through the finish line in second place. This is a sensational result for the fresh crew who had no previous experience.

Overall, the 20 athletes did well in the competitions and achieved remarkable placements. Everyone can be proud of themselves and come back to Aachen strengthened with plenty of experience from the DHM.
