Natural Grass Field Königshügel

Using the Sports Facility

The natural grass field is open during the summer months. However, it is exclusively reserved for the University Sports Center's sports groups. The field needs a long time to regenerate, which is why it is not otherwise open for use.

Depending on the sport, we recommend wearing cleats, but they are not required. Participants can use the sanitary facilities in the RWTH Gym during training.

University members can request a permit to use the field and hold their own one-off events during the summer semester. Please understand that we can only grant a few permits, because the grass needs time to regenerate.
