The body reacts to stress, lack of movement, and poor posture with muscle tension, which are the main source of back pain. A healthy, strong back is important at every age and contributes to good posture and wellbeing.

It is recommended to bring your own mat. Other requirements for participation are clean indoor shoes brought separately and a clean, dry towel at least 70 by 140 cm, comfortable clothing and something to drink.

Target Audience and Prerequisites

The course "Rückenfit Koordination und Gleichgewicht" is aimed at anyone who suffers from shoulder, neck, and various back issues due to a lack of movement in daily life or who wants to do something for their health as a preventive measure.

Content and Goals

In "Rückenfit Koordination und Gleichgewicht," body awareness is trained using unstable surfaces such as soft mats, foam cushions, trampolines, balance boards, etc. Through this sensorimotor training, the small, deep stabilizing muscles of the body are engaged and strengthened, leading to remarkable improvements in posture and balance control. The course "Rückenfit Koordination und Gleichgewicht" can thus make an important contribution to fall prevention. Sensorimotor training is particularly effective and helpful for back complaints while also increasing the body's responsiveness and stabilization, which can positively impact emergency situations and help prevent injuries.

In "Rückenfit Aktiv und Relax," the core muscles are actively and gently strengthened and stretched. Additionally, back-friendly movements help improve coordination and provide more stability to the spine. The session concludes with a short relaxation unit.
