Materials

You must consider the following when participating:

  • Please bring your own bike.
  • Helmets are compulsory.
  • Other protection is strongly recommended (gloves, knee protectors...)
  • In the dark season, a strong front light is a mandatory requirement. The best light is one that can be attached to the helmet. If necessary, the exercise instructor can make recommendations
  • The bike must be fully functional. This applies in particular to the brakes. All screws should be checked beforehand
  • Tools and aids for minor reparations such as a spare tube, for example in the case of flat tires, should be available
  • Sufficient water and small snacks for in between

Mountain Biking Meet-Up Level 1 to 2

Target Group and Prerequisites

We welcome both beginners and experienced bikers. The speed will be adapted to the group's skills.

Content and Goals

From the meeting point we ride together into the forest. On the route through Aachen's forests technical descents are usually taken. In two to three hours, a total of 20 km to a maximum of 30 km with about 200 to 500 meters of elevation will be covered. The speed and the route selection are adapted accordingly to the groups, so that everyone comes at his or her expense.
First and foremost, it's about riding together and the fun of mountain biking as a balance to everyday life. If you have any questions about the riding technique, the instructors are always available and happy to give tips.
