The University Sports Center offers three types of Body Workout, which differ from each other mostly in the materials they use. In the classic class various tools and small equipment and your own body weight are used to train. The pump courses focus on training with dumbbells. In the ballet class we use techniques to improve stability and coordination. Body Workout is fitness training in a group, during which you shape your body, improve your muscular endurance and posture, and are really able to burn off energy while motivated by professional instructors and rousing music.

Notes regarding the interim sports hall

We kindly ask for your understanding that due to the extraordinary temporary interim situation, the usual room climate cannot always be guaranteed.

Material

To participate you must bring a separate, clean pair of gym shoes. Please bring along an at least 70 x 140 cm, clean and dry towel and something to drink.

Body Workout Classic

Target Group and Prerequisites

This class is targeted towards women and men at all levels of fitness, with or without previous Body Workout experience.

Content and Objectives

Body Workout Classic is effective strength and muscular endurance training, which causes noticeable changes after just a short time. A combination of plyometric exercises that challenge jumping and speed power and static and dynamic strengthening optimally prepare the body for everyday movements.

The class begins with a short warmup that prepares muscles and joints for the training. Different muscle groups are simultaneously affected in different ways through the use of small equipment like tubes, weights, and steps. This ensures strong posture, defined muscles, and a higher turnover of energy. With the help of different variations and levels for each exercise the workout can be individually adapted to every level and ability. An acceptable group size allows the course instructor to intensively supervise participants. Weekly challenges, rousing music, and visible results motivate participants to keep at it.

Body Workout Pump

Target Group and Prerequisites

This offer is targeted towards women and men at all levels of fitness, with or without previous Body Workout experience. Participants without previous Body Workout Pump or group dumbbell training are required to come to the first class, during which participants receive a detailed introduction to the correct and healthy handling of dumbbells.

Content and Objectives

Body Workout Pump focuses on training with a dumbbell. The primary feature is a high number of repetitions with low, individually-variable weight, which leads to an improvement in muscular endurance.

Over the course of many weeks the various muscle groups are challenged through the same exercises, so that participants have the possibility to begin at their own fitness level and increase it through an improvement to their technique and an increase in weight. This total body training increases muscular endurance, shapes muscles, promotes fat burning, prepares the body for everyday challenges. Enough reasons to start now and get inspired by cool music and motivating instructors.

Organizational Information

The schedule begins with a detailed introduction to training with dumbbells. You must come to the first class so that you can begin to work out the second week.
