In the kung fu courses, students learn the Vietnamese martial art vo-dao-viet-nam, a synthesis of multiple traditional Asian martial arts. This sport is equally suitable for men and women, as strength does not play a superior role. The central components of training include exercises to master the body and spirit, fighting techniques, and eighteen different types of weapons. Using meditation and khi-cong techniques, an effort is made to find harmony between body, spirit, and nature.

Materials

At the beginning, training will be conducted in regular training clothing. Additional materials, such as training weapons, will be provided by the instructors.

Kung Fu All Levels

Target Audience and Prerequisites

This course is aimed at all participants who have not previously attended a Vo-Dao-Viet-Nam Kung Fu course, as well as those who have mastered the basic techniques.

No special physical prerequisites are required for beginners. Therefore, Kung Fu is equally suitable for both women and men.

Content and Goals

The foundations of Kung Fu are stable stances. The basics of various stances and initial basic movements will be taught. Beginners will start by learning the fundamental form.

For participants with experience, the basic movements will be expanded to include more complex movement sequences. Participants will learn the first weapon and animal forms. Advanced techniques of Vo-Dao-Viet-Nam will follow, including some ancient traditional animal style techniques such as Dragon, Tiger, Monkey, and Snake. In addition, participants will learn not only more complex unarmed techniques but also how to handle various traditional Asian weapons such as short and long staffs, spears, Chinese swords, and sabers, as well as more exotic weapons like dragon head sabers, hook swords, and melon hammers.

Kung Fu Self Defence

Target Audience and Prerequisites

This course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn how to defend themselves in threatening situations. No prior experience is required.

Content and Objectives

Techniques from Kung Fu will be used to fend off attacks against oneself. These techniques will be practiced directly against each other to apply them as realistically as possible.

Only a few techniques will be practiced, but they will be done very intensively. Because only when one has repeated a technique many times can it be applied in an emergency situation.

Light bruises and contusions may occur during training.
