We offer a wide and varied program of tennis courses with instructed training and learning content. Those who can already play tennis or wish to gain some practical experience beside the course, have the opportunity to do so in the so-called “Open Play”. The Professor-Pirlet-Straße tennis facility has six clay courts for tennis.

During the summer semester, by booking the tennis card, you can play here freely seven days a week, including holidays. Without the tennis card, courts can be booked for single hours or in subscriptions.

During the winter semester, the university’s clay courts are not in operation. Instead, members of the universities have the opportunity to book the tennis courts of the Tennishalle Vaals for single appointmentss at selected times.

From time to time playing on our Allwetterplatz Königshügel is also possible!

Tennis Shoe Requirement!

For participation in the tennis offer, own and the respective surface appropriate tennis shoes are required!

You will need outdoor tennis shoes (clay court tennis shoes or all court tennis shoes) to play on The Professor-Pirlet-Straße tennis facility's clay courts during the summer semester. Sports shoes for other sports are not permitted.

One exception is our Allwetterplatz, where it is also allowed to play with sports shoes for other sports with flat soles. Cleated and pimpled shoes are prohibited, as these shoes severely damage the surface!

Carpeted flooring is used in the tennis hall, so special indoor tennis shoes with smooth and non-marking soles are required.

We ask for your understanding, that to maintain the playability of the court surfaces the staff monitor and enforce the shoe regulations. In case of violation, you may be barred from further use of the facility and the fees will not be refunded!

Balls and Rackets

For participants in the courses, balls and rental rackets can be provided. For hygienic reasons, we recommend playing with your own tennis racket.

Participants in free play, subscription holders, or those with individual bookings must bring their own balls and rackets.

Bring a Towel

Please bring your own clean towel to use as a seat cover and for wiping sweat.
