The Snow Event in Landgraaf is the University Sports Center's official kickoff to its winter season. Both slope newbies and experienced winter athletes are welcome to usher in the winter season on the slopes.

The SNOWSport-Team at the University Sports Center supervises the annual Snow Event. Experienced trainers lead the workshops and give helpful tips on snow sports. If you feel uncertain but would like to try out the slope, our beginners' courses are just for you. Individuals with skiing and snowboarding experience can hone their skills in various workshops for experienced individuals with qualified instructors. A joint get together in the ski lodges ensures a good mood, social atmosphere, and a great evening on the other side of the slope.
A 4 hour ski pass is included in the price. Your ski pass timer always stops when you leave the slope within the allotted time. The timer continues on your return to the slope. So you can feel free to leave the slope without the time on your ski pass running out.
Participants, who booked the bus transfer, take the bus to SnowWorld Landgraaf. Registration at Bendplatz starts at 5pm. The buses will be available from 5:30pm, with the last departure at 6:30pm. The return journey takes place between 10:30pm and 12am.
If you are arriving on your own, you can find detailed directions on the SnowWorld website. Please consider the costs for the parking lot of the SnowWorld if you come by your own car.
Beginners' courses are offered from 7.30 to 9.30pm. Spots are limited and require a special registration. Workshops for experienced participants in the areas of technique, slalom, and fun park can be attended without a registration. Times for the workshops will be announced at SnowWorld.
The ski hall has a constant temperature of -5°C. We recommend wearing warm clothing, gloves, hats, and a helmet, particularly when using the fun park. All clothing can be rented or bought at SnowWorld.
At the snow event, SNOWFRIENDS – Foods & Drinks will be open. The alpine hut on the slope an the BIERSTUBE located directly behind the reception is also reserved for the snow event. There, you can purchase the regular culinary offers.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. If you have paid the participation fee, you will be reimbursed the full amount with the exception of a 5 Euro processing fee. You can cancel your registration up to the five working days before the event at the University Sports Center. For a cancellation or a transfer of your ticket onto another person, please contact the servicepoint of the University Sports Center. Five days before the event, rebooking or cancellation is no longer possible. It is possible to transfer the purchased ticket to another person up to 24 hours before the event. To do so, please contact us at events@hsz.rwth-aachen.de and let us know directly to whom you would like to transfer the ticket.
The University Sports Center offers aside from the Snowevents regular courses for the following kinds of sports: Alpine skiing, Snowboard
Unlike the other University Sports offers, there is no additional insurance coverage when participating in this event. We strongly recommend acquiring your own insurance protection.
The RWTH Aachen University Sports Center reserves the right to take photographs and make film recordings during the event for its own publicity and information purposes. By signing up for or purchasing admission to the event, participants agree to this use. Due to administrative reasons, those who object to this must raise their objection with the University Sports Center by email within one week of the end of the event.
